Houshmandzadeh? - 6
Houshmandzadeh. If you watch football and that name doesn't ring a bell then you obviously know way to many names. T.J Houshmandzadeh who previously played for the Cincinatti Bengals now plays for the Seattle Seahawks. The problem being he had a hernia. Fortunately the Seahawks predict him back soon so the star reciever can make his comeback. The wide reciever of the Seahawks consist of T.J Houshmandzadeh and Deion Branch. Deion Branch is out with knee surgery (his third one within 26 months) so one reciever has to be in action. Fortunately both recievers are expected back this summer.
Chargers Safety Arrested - 5
The San Diego Chargers safety, Kevin Ellison was arrested as of May 24th 2010. He was suspected to be in possesion of a controled substance. The twenty three year old man was pulled over by the police for speeding in a school zone. After checking the car it revealed over 100 pills of Vicodin. Kevin Ellison was arrested on the spot and set for 10,000 dollars bail. Which unfortunately is not a lot of money for these football players. Sgt. Peter Grimm says that Ellison did not have a prescription for these pills and even if he did it would be unusual for a pharmacist to distribute that amount. Ellison played four seasons for Southern California and started nine games for the chargers as a rookie in '09.

NFL Statistics - 4
Since the season didn't end and the trades over i decided to fill in with a statistical article of our QB's and Running Backs. The first position is QB. Drew Brees leads overall with 514 attempts and 363 completions which gives him a 70.6 completion percentage. Behind him is Brett Farve with his 68.4 completion percentage. He's thrown 4202 and 33 touchdowns. Phillip Rivers is third with his longest pass being 81 yards and averaging 266 yards a game. Fourth would be Aaron Rodgers who took Brett Farves place on the packers. He's got a 64.7 completion percentage. Our boy here averages 8.20 per pass. Finally at fifth we have Ben Roethlisburger with a 66.6 pass completion percentage (sign?) and averages 289 yards per game. Our next important offensive player is the running back. Chris Johnson maybe one of the best rushers EVER ran 2006 through this season and ran his longest rush at 91 yards. Up next is Steven Jackson for St. Louis. He's got 324 attempts and has 10 rushes over 20 yards. Third is Thomas Jones who rushed 64 first downs and averages 4.2 yards per rush attempt. Second to last is Maurice Jones-Drew who has 312 attempts and gained 1391 yards last season. Last but not least is Adrian Peterson. Still in the top five with his longest rush being 64 yards and obtaining 12 over 20 yard runs. So there you have it. Enjoy the stats, use them to pick your fantasy football team, or ignore this article completely.

Rebuild or Reload? The Eagles - 3
A famous line from Omar Gaithers an Eagles linebacker. He states "...The Eagles are not an organization that needs to rebuild. We reload. I like to use that term because we have a lot of playmakers on offense and defense." Why might one say this? Becuase the eagles lost 4 starters not including their ever so consistance Brian Westbrook and of course including Donovan McNabb who's chilling over there in washington. Yet as stated they're not rebuilding there just uhm? Hiring a bunch of new people and putting in people they have trained but almost never played after getting rid of four of there starters. Whats the definition of rebuilding? But i would never doubt Andy Reid and his NEW assistant coach, NEW lindebackers, NEW quarterbacks, NEW wide recievers, NEW running backs, and NEW deffensive backs. It's still the same old eagles. Although I would never doubt any opinion made by a couch of the NFL I find there quarterback situation odd. We all know of there pick of Michael Vick a quarterback who never seconed anyone until last year. Then we have Kevin Kolb. The back up QB for the eagles for around three seasons. Now one might think "throw in Vick, you know the one thats already a proffesinal QB?" But now that i've said this I suppose you already know what they acctually did. Yes Kevin Kolb will be starting us off this year (as far as we know) and I'm not saying this man has no potential. For every time he's been thrown in a game he goes for 100% accuracy, even if he only throws one pass... But has made up over 300 yards which averages 100 yards per season which is not bad at all for a second string quarter back. He's got the jersey, He's got the guts, lets see if he's got the skill.

The Draft - 2
And as the draft continues the college seniors are being picked clean. I'm reporting the first round. The first pick went to the Rams and they picked up college QB Sam Bradford, He's known for his amazing accuracy and won a heisman on '08. He missed most of the 2009 with a shoulder injury. The next pick was Detroits who picked up Ndamukoong Suh a defensive tackle. He has ridicoulous strength superior agility and got 12 sacks in '09. The third pick was Tampa Bays they picked up Gerald McCoy another deffensive tackle. This guy will do whatever it takes to get past the line and sack the QB with 12.5 sacks. The fourth pick went to Washington who nabbed Trent Williams an offensive tackle who blocked almost any run coming his way. The fifth picked belonged to Kansas City who grabbed Eric Berry a free safety, he reads and reacts. Sixth pick was Seattle who picked up an offensive tackle Russel Okung with no specific strength yet no weakness either. Cleveland picked seventh and got Joe Haden a corner back, He has no strength but other than working on his speed is a superior athlete. Oakland picked up Rolando McClain on the 8th pick. A tall inside line backer but has 105 tackles to his name. Buffalo went ninth and picked up C.J Spiller a running back and by the looks of it could make it in the big league. The tenth pick was Jacksonville who picked deffensive end, Tyson alualu a superior athlete with 60 tackles AND 8.5 sacks. Number 11 is san franciso who picked up Anthony Davis an offensive tackle. 12 was San Diego who grabbed Ryan Mathews a running back who avereaged 6 yards a run. 13th was our Phillidelphia Eagles who got Brandon Graham an outside line backer. at fourteen we have seattle again who got Earl Thomas a corner back. Pick number 22 was Denvers who went for Demaryius Thomas a college wide reciever. Pick 23 was Green Bays who picked Bryan Bulaga a an offensive tackle. Pick 24 was Dallas' who took Dez Bryant another wide reciever. After a few trades Denver went again and picked up Tim Tebow a college QB that seemed to be going places. Then Miami at 28 picked up Jared Odrick another deffensive tackle. The 29th (fourth to last) was the New York Jets who got Kyle Wilson a cornerback. at 30 detroit went again an got Jahvid Best another running back. then at 31 Indianapolis got Jerry Hughes another outside line backer. Shame. - 4
How many NFL stars can be put to shame? Don't even get me started. We all know the infamous story of Michael Vick. But Sometimes reputation covers up somes faults. I am a die hard steelers fan, but i'm also a journalist and my job is to tell you what you need to know. We all know Ben Roethlisburger. The steelers amazing quarterback, one might even say he's in the top five of what he does. But does anyone know what he's like off the field? Being a quarterback one would think "Oh! the playmaker! Hes gotta be pals with the whole team!" But Santonio Holmes and Hines Ward would disagree. The two pittsburgh players say that Ben is socially ackward and rarely ever is socially active with the team off the field but if you though it couldn't get better, it does. Ben has always been known for his victories on the field. Most know about how the steelers lead in superbowl wins. But most forget about that motorcycle accident in 2006 or the two recent sexual assult charges? Yes. Interesting what a good rep could cover up. Though Ben's mistakes could ruin one of the best teams reputations. The request for Ben's DNA is no longer here but the charges still stand. you might ask what does his team think about him? Well he hasn't been proven guilty but when they asked Mike Tomlin (head coach) he responded “He’s a ridiculous competitor. A good guy. A guy that wants to win. A guy that doesn’t mind toting the burden that comes with being the quarterback of our football team. Really, what you see is what you get, from my perspective.” But the fact is all he could talk about is ben's performance. No one knows what ben does on the weekends and a player that has no social relations with the team doesn't even sound like some one who's on the team. One of the best QB's on one of the best teams may have just ruined it's Rep.

Second Super Bowl... Woman Style? - 3
- 4Yes it appears the woman of the world have joined together in a pastime that relaxes them and of course has its own version of the superbowl. Were woman gather on the couch with chips and salsa betting who's going to win and in the end some will cry some will jump up and spill the dip on the couch and some will run out into the street and cry YES, YES! and what feminine pastime is this? The bachelor, season finale. So if you call racing (emotionally of course) for a bachelors love against other woman a sport you are totally correct. Now theres not much to recap. Theres this guy who is "Hot" but somehow is unable to find that "connection" in the real world. What better way to fix this then to send a bunch of pretty woman into a house and videotape them oogling this guy and after seeing him take his shirt off they make that oh so special connection with this man. Finally this male will pick one of the top three prettiest girls and so "oh, uhm, we had a special bond." and the best part is millions of women tune into to "the final rose ceramony." and call it there superbowl. There ya have it.

Sports World meet Techies. - 2
Most of you know that when a bunch of jocks come together (like the MLB) to buy tech equipment well we can all guess that there not gonna make the brightest decisions. Until today? Yes finally the jocks got one right. Discovery News was happy to inform us that MLB is out 54 million dollars in order to buy shirts. Not just any shirts, electronic shirts. These shirts were bought right at the beggining of spring training perfect timing. These shirts can analyze the pitchers form and such. The shirts can reduce injury and and keep athletes in good form. The shirt was devolped by the people at northeaster engineering, Marcus Moche being one, Alexendra Morgan, and David Schmidt being the others. Moche describes the shirts ability and tells us "The shirt can be used to show when a player becomes fatigued and his mechanics worsen..." if thats not cool tell me what is? The shirt has three sensors which are located on the bicep, the forearm, and the lower back and they all measure acceleration and more and are sent by the pitcher and the catcher. The shirts been done before but nothing like this. You could wear this shirt on game day. while other shirts were tested in lab settings. The amazing part is that the shirt is machine washable which pleases coaches, players, and players wifes. The shirt has fewer wires but the next step is to make the shirt wireless. I can't wait to see the shirt in action.

Winter Olympics - 1
Its not that hard to sum up the winter olympics. As most will agree, it is not as good well the summer olympics. They come to an end with a beautiful ceromony after a most interesting olympic games. When it comes to totalls its quite nice to able to say that america with 9 golds, 15 silvers, and 13 bronze, has the most medals in the 2010 Winter Olympics. Not only do we have the most medals but we have the most medals by the largest gap. We lead germany 37 medals to 30 following is canada by 26. We were beat in gold medals by Canada and germany. Germany beat us by one medal and Canada by 5 and norway managed to tie our 9 gold medals. I'm assuming you americans want to know our gold medalists? We've got our four man bobsleigh With Curtis Tomasevicz, Steve Mesler, Justin Olsen, Steven Holcomb. Bode Miller won in Alpine Skiing. Evan Lysacek won our gold in mens figure skating. New Drug to Injure Sports World - 3 April Fools
Performance enhancing drugs have always been a problem to the sports world but this new drug is far more hazardous. This drug could rip the sports world to shreds. The new drug enhances performance and ages children. Yes the new drug can add age onto a child the effects are uknown on an adult and are suspected to cause old age. Unfortunatley this is drug is causing mass hysteria across the world. Continuous age age tests are beiing performed on players currently and one resulted in 14 year old boy playing baseball with the pro's. One "Cole Strecker" Has gone under the name of Chase Utley for the Philledelphia Phillies. The drugs have made the young boy into a man and a baseball legend at that. The embarresment of the other players and coach resulted in the immediate termination of "Chase Utley" Who was acctually banned from the state of pennslyvania. The boy now on probation is no longer on this drug and has returned to his normal age. He's been re-united with his family down south. Currently his location is unknown. His family is nursing him back to health after the extreme effect of the drug has turned him into a baby. Seen in the picture you can see how serious this is. The body in result of halting the drug use effects the body and turns you into a quite young age. But this isnt stopping millions of kids around the world from pursuing there 'adult' dreams abd taking this new drug.
Newest Devolpment On the Winter Olympics - 2 April Fools
The Olympics are some of the most famous events in the world. The Winter Olympics are being held in vancouver if you are not aware, but unfortunately there are a few new devolpment. Canada themselves have been banned from the games, after illegal use of syrup containing way to much maple flavoring. The high maple flavoring have given the contenders a "Sugar High" if you will and enhanced there ability in the following events; Luge, Cross Country Skiing, Snowboarding, and Men's Moguls. You would doubt that not all Canadian members could take part of this disgrace and not all did but those that didnt unfortuantely were sneacked other perfomance enhancing drugs. These came in the infamous canadian bacon. These athletes performed beyond there ability and didnt bother to ask questions. Fortunately the Winter Olympics did not have all scandals, there was also a new exciting devolepment Libya has entered the olympics. One of the hottest places on earth peaking at 136 degrees. On the other side the men and women arent doing as well as planned. Kara, who was on the Womens Moguls team never got off the plan and in fact took control of the plane itself and rode him due to her irrational fear of "The white scary stuff." Tommy who was going to compete in Cross Country Skiing got onto the course and fell after failing he exclaimed "... I'm Melting! I'm Melting Save Me!..." He was immediately instated into a mental hospital and will be returned to Libya at the conclusion of the games. Though possibly being the weirdest games in history it continues without a host and a new team.
SuperBowl Staredom - 1 April Fools
The New Orlean Saints have not only made it to there first superbowl but won it. An amazing victory where Drew Brees kicked it into gear and beat Peyton Manning in a passing game. A victory that came out of no where started Mardi Gras early for the "Who Dey" nation. Even Ellen managed to squeeze the game into her schedule. Unfortunately we come to the sad truth that most saits fans dont know. The game is still under review, not just the superbowl but even the championship game against the vikings. It has been said that The Saints have bribed referees. The main play being reviewed is the comeback touchdown in the vikings game. Where Reggie Bush dived into the endzone on fourth down. The sad truth is after a few reviews it shows that he wasn't even in the pylon. After being reviewed by a official it was sent to the "commish" or the commisioner of the NFL. The board is still debating the whole event. The problem is lying in the fact of the game. You can not predict how the game would have ended given this result. A simple "do-over" would not suffice because the game would surely not play out the same way. The season has ended leaving the lingering question what will happen? What could the possible outcome be? The general guess is well nothing. What can they do? Restart the end of the season? Any possible idea other than nothing would be unfair. I apologize to all the Colts and Vikings fans out there. The verdict will come in about a month on the ESPN 2 channel. Keep watching.

The Final Games - 8
On janurary twenty fourth the final games of the playoffs leading to superbowl 44. The New York Jets will be facing of with the Indiannapolis Colts. The New York Jets probably have the most momentum right now yet I dont think its going to stop those Colts. The Colts come in here with the star quarterback Peyton Manning who has 393 completions out of 571 attempts this season leaving him 68.8% accurate. The Jets walk in with there rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez he has only completed 196 passes out of the 364 thrown, notice the he hasn't even thrown as many as Peyton has completed. For the pass I think Indiannapolis gets a check. When it comes to rushing The New York Jets come in with Thomas Jones who just this year ran for 1402 yards and 14 touchdowns, a force to be reckonned with. The Colts have running back Joseph Addai who has only rushed for 828 yards and ten touchdowns. The Jets simply have a better running game. Finally Reggie Wayne of Indiannapolis leads The Colts in recieving yards, he has gained 1264 yards and ten touchdowns. The Jets have reciever Jerricho Cotchery who has a total of 821 yards and only 3 touchdowns. Indiannapolis wins in two of the three categories. My guess is The Colts have The Jets beat.
Finally we have two of the most amazing NFC teams of the season. The New Orlean Saints who almost went undefeated, and The Minnesota Vikings. Drew Brees the New Orleans quarterback was predicted to go far this year and he did. Drew Brees completed 363 passed out of the 514 thrown thats around 70%. We all know Minnesota's new QB Brett Farve the flip flopper. Brett threw 531 passes this year and here is the scary part completed the exact same number as Drew Brees, 363. As for pass attack I call a tie. Now as for the running game Minnesota clearly has The Saints beat. Adrian Peterson took the field last year and dominated, this year he comes back and rushes for 1383 yards and 18 touchdowns. While The Saints cycled through there running backs Reggie Bush, Mike Bell, and there best Pierre Thomas. Pierre Thomas ran for only 793 yards and six touchdowns one half the rushing yards and a third of the touchdowns. I'm giving Minnesota the edge. Finally The saints have reciever Marquese Colston who yad 1074 yards and 9 touchdowns, the guy got busy. Meanwhile Minnesota's reciever Sydney Rice 1312 recieving yards and 8 touchdowns. Sydney had one less touchdown but the point is he moves the ball. Honestly I have to give it to The Vikings. As much as I think this is anyones game i suppose The Vikings had the winning stats.

Pre-Superbowl - 7
With the superbowl slowly approaching more and more teams are getting eliminated from the playoffs. On janurary 16th The New Orlean Saints played The Arizona Cardinals. Arizona's running back Tim Hightower rushed for 87 yards but Arizona was defeated 45 to 14.
