The Final Games - 8

On janurary twenty fourth the final games of the playoffs leading to superbowl 44. The New York Jets will be facing of with the Indiannapolis Colts. The New York Jets probably have the most momentum right now yet I dont think its going to stop those Colts. The Colts come in here with the star quarterback Peyton Manning who has 393 completions out of 571 attempts this season leaving him 68.8% accurate. The Jets walk in with there rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez he has only completed 196 passes out of the 364 thrown, notice the he hasn't even thrown as many as Peyton has completed. For the pass I think Indiannapolis gets a check. When it comes to rushing The New York Jets come in with Thomas Jones who just this year ran for 1402 yards and 14 touchdowns, a force to be reckonned with. The Colts have running back Joseph Addai who has only rushed for 828 yards and ten touchdowns. The Jets simply have a better running game. Finally Reggie Wayne of Indiannapolis leads The Colts in recieving yards, he has gained 1264 yards and ten touchdowns. The Jets have reciever Jerricho Cotchery who has a total of 821 yards and only 3 touchdowns. Indiannapolis wins in two of the three categories. My guess is The Colts have The Jets beat.

Finally we have two of the most amazing NFC teams of the season. The New Orlean Saints who almost went undefeated, and The Minnesota Vikings. Drew Brees the New Orleans quarterback was predicted to go far this year and he did. Drew Brees completed 363 passed out of the 514 thrown thats around 70%. We all know Minnesota's new QB Brett Farve the flip flopper. Brett threw 531 passes this year and here is the scary part completed the exact same number as Drew Brees, 363. As for pass attack I call a tie. Now as for the running game Minnesota clearly has The Saints beat. Adrian Peterson took the field last year and dominated, this year he comes back and rushes for 1383 yards and 18 touchdowns. While The Saints cycled through there running backs Reggie Bush, Mike Bell, and there best Pierre Thomas. Pierre Thomas ran for only 793 yards and six touchdowns one half the rushing yards and a third of the touchdowns. I'm giving Minnesota the edge. Finally The saints have reciever Marquese Colston who yad 1074 yards and 9 touchdowns, the guy got busy. Meanwhile Minnesota's reciever Sydney Rice 1312 recieving yards and 8 touchdowns. Sydney had one less touchdown but the point is he moves the ball. Honestly I have to give it to The Vikings. As much as I think this is anyones game i suppose The Vikings had the winning stats.

Pre-Superbowl - 7

With the superbowl slowly approaching more and more teams are getting eliminated from the playoffs. On janurary 16th The New Orlean Saints played The Arizona Cardinals. Drew Brees the Saints Quarterback led them through the game throwing 247 yards most of them to Marquese Colston. Arizona's running back Tim Hightower rushed for 87 yards but Arizona was defeated 45 to 14.

Also on the 16th of janurary The Indiannapolis Colts played The Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens wide reciever Derrick Mason had the high recieving yards, and there running back had the high rushing yards. But The Ravens were defeated 20 to 3.

On Janurary 17th The Minnesota Vikings went head to head with The Dallas Cowboys who were hot after there last game against the eagles. Minnesota shut down Dallas the end result being 34 to 3. Needless to say the most yardage went to Minnesota players.

Finally the last game of janurary 17th was The New York Jets against The San Diego Chargers. New York who may be the team with the most momentum going won 17 to 14. San Diego had the highest recieving and passing yards but The Jets runningback ran for 128 yards.
Finally the teams left to beat are The New York Jets, The New Orlean Saints, The Indiannapolis Colts, and The Minnesota Vikings.
